Synopsis

Family secrets and the last century of world history unspool in this international story that begins with World War II and concludes with an emotional 21st-century family reunion. Timely questions of identity, resilience, and the plight of displaced persons are brought to life as brothers Izak and Shep learn late in life of each other's survival and meet in Canada. They then confront their elderly mother, Aida, in an attempt to piece together their pasts.
